Bass Physics Gives Us LP Debut Preview w/ “Way Back Home” Ft. Psyuri

What a time to be alive at this day and age for all fans of electronic music. Today we get another small glimpse of the greatness that awaits us on Thursday January 11th as Bass Physics drop his debut 11 track album “Lost In Space”. We had the honor of premiering Way Back Home, a melodic bass song featuring vocals from Psyuri that bring all the right tingles to your body once it drops. The debut LP has it all. It is a direct reflection to the level of production talent one must have to provide such a cinematic and auditory immersive journey through time and space. Now it’s time to take a deeper dive as to what makes this premiere what we like to call, a certified bop.

Lost In Space is a collection of everything I love about electronic music. This album was motivated by a time in my life where I was constantly tested and feeling lost. Writing this album was like therapy for me and I hope it brings the same level of comfort for anyone who’s feeling like they too are lost in space, there is a way back home.” Bass Physics

DIVING DEEP W/ BASS PHYSICS

You’re on your deathbed and you can listen to one last song, which one would it be and why?

Free Bird, need I say more? Actually though, this song is part of my pre-set hype up ritual… and would be one hell of a guitar solo to go out on.

If you could change one thing about the electronic scene, what would it be and why?

I love most everything about the electronic scene today but sometimes it can be easy to feel confined to a specific genre or sound. I write singer/songwriter stuff that is acoustic, and played in a jam band in high school, so I would love to see more artist’s take “risks” and release songs outside of their normal sound. This is also a biased opinion as my portfolio ranges widely in genre, but I love hearing something unexpected from my favorite artists.

If you had one message you could share with the world right now, what would it be?

If you are feeling LOST IN SPACE there is a WAY BACK HOME for you. Don’t give up and always give back. Love and light – Arja

Capochino Lets Loose w/ New Single “Woke Symphony”

If there’s one thing we love, it’s definitely the story of individuals who are not originally from this country in seek of opportunity looking to make their own path in this world. Rising DJ and producer Capochino is one who is very familiar with this concept. Orginally born in Monterrey, Mexico, he is now here to show the masses why his project is not one to overlook. Today he proves this with his newly released single “Woke Symphony”, which we have been given the honor to premiere. It has everything a basshead could want in a song. Grimey heavy basslines accompanied by colorful melodies that inspire pure bliss in the soul. Now it’s time to take a deeper dive as to what makes this track what we like to call, a certified bop.

When I started working on this one last summer, I used my own song “President” as inspiration (a release from 2022). I wanted to make a new track with a similar vibe and similar combination of sounds but with a lot more energy, something that would hit harder at my shows. I’ve used other artists’ music as inspiration before, so it’s really cool that the first time I get inspired by my own work I end up creating my favorite song I’ve made so far; it definitely feels special”

Diving Deep w/ CAPOCHINO

You’re on your deathbed and you can listen to one last song, which one would it be and why?
That’s a crazy question but I love it! It would have to be one by Flume. Probably his remix of Tennis Court by Lorde! Such a beautiful song, I would die happy. Also it’s 6 minutes long so that would give me a little more time to live than most other songs would.
If you could change one thing about the electronic scene, what would it be and why?
I would get rid of all the people that are in this industry/scene for the wrong reasons. I don’t think it’s that many but they are definitely there. This scene has been based around PLUR for a long time and we need to keep it that way. The more people that are in it for the love of the music, the people, and the culture the better.
If you had one message you could share with the world right now, what would it be?
Stop littering. It’s not hard to hold on to your trash until you find a trash can. Don’t be lazy. Don’t be disrespectful to nature and everyone around you. Stop littering.
CHOZEN x JOJO Get Down & Dirty w/ New Single “DROP THIS”

CHOZEN x JOJO Get Down & Dirty w/ New Single “DROP THIS”

What better way to start the new 2024 year off than with a massive collab from two rising bass talents that are bound to bring the heat with every release they do. Today we get blessed with their newest track titled “DROP THIS”. This project is a ‘combination of styles featuring weird, low-end elements and high energy basslines’ that is well suited for folks who are looking to get caught off guard by its madness. You might as well get it out of your system now and have this bad boi on repeat as it’s surely to be a heavy favorite when attending various festival sets. Now it’s time to take a deeper as to what makes this song what we like to call, a certified bop.

“CHOZEN and JOJO joined forces to create a unique, bass heavy, track that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. A combination of styles featuring weird, low-end elements and high energy basslines, the first collaboration from these two artists will keep you moving throughout.”

You’re on your deathbed and you can listen to one last song, which one would it be?

  • CHOZEN:
    • It has to be Collapse by Zeds Dead. This is the song that truly got me into EDM almost a decade ago. Then I heard the Tape B Remix and I couldn’t believe a better version had been created. The song itself is high energy but makes you feel emotional at the same time.
  • JOJO
    • Head splitter – Getter, because this was the song that made me fall in love with EDM in the first place. I remember going to my first festival and hearing it drop at the bass stage and I couldn’t contain myself and rushed towards the front and went completely nuts.

If you could change one thing about the electronic scene, what would it be and why?

  • CHOZEN:
    • If I could change one thing about the industry it would probably be the competitiveness and how some artists treat each other. This isn’t always the case but I feel like we are seeing more of it. For me, the scene is about bringing good vibes to a community of amazing people. We could all accomplish so much more if we lift each other up and support one another.
  • JOJO
    • if I could change one thing about the scene, I would make it less of a popularity contest and make more opportunities for everyone including smaller artists, there are so many artists out there who just don’t get the exposure they deserve.

With the wisdom you’ve gathered, what nugget of advice would you pass down to a younger Chozen, say 6-8 years ago?

  • CHOZEN:
    • My biggest piece of advice would be to just work hard and have fun with it. Way too many people get caught up in the uglier side of the industry that they forget to just enjoy it! I try hard to get back to that at times when I’m feeling stressed.
  • Jojo
    • focus on your art and the rest will follow, don’t rush yourself, and just remember the journey is the destination
