NIMDA Wreaks Havoc w/ New Single “Baddest” [Q&A+Mix]

NIMDA Wreaks Havoc w/ New Single “Baddest” [Q&A+Mix]

One of UK’s finest tear out dubstep talents is here to set an imprint on today’s era of modern day heavy hitting bass music. His name is Nimda, an individual who is known to consistently release massive heaters thanks to his endless arsenal of relentless music projects. Today we get a glimpse into the mind of Nimba and his creativity through the likes of the newly established “MENTIS AUDIO”  , an independent label he decided to launch back in December of 2021. If you’re looking to spiral out of control and let loose to an absolute banger,  then you will have “Baddest” on repeat till Spotify glitches out due to malfunction. It’s time to take a deeper dive as to what makes his newest release what we like to call , a certified bop.

DIVING DEEP W/ NIMDA

  1. What would you tell your younger self today knowing where you’re at now and what it took to get there?

I’d probably tell myself to care less and have more fun when it comes to making music, but also the more effort you put in the more you will get out of it. I spent the first 8 years of music making experience not really trying and also worrying too much about my releases not doing well, in reality I should’ve tried harder when it came to my production and stressed less about stats.

  1. If there was an artist you had the chance to collaborate with, who would it be and why?

I’d love to make a song with Svndman or Leotrix. Svndman is discontinued I’m pretty sure so lets say Leotrix. Leotrix is very good at a wide range of styles, I think my obnoxious approach to music would combine well with his sound design knowledge and thought-out approach to that kind of riddim sound. (Even though I pretty much never make riddim)

Top 5 MUST HAVE Camping Items for Okeechobee Music Festival 2022

Top 5 MUST HAVE Camping Items for Okeechobee Music Festival 2022

The time has come where we get to reunite once again within the beautiful portal that leads to paradise , normal folks just like to it Okeechobee however. After taking a two year hiatus due to you know what and being saved thanks to the purchase of Insomniac, the OMF team has finally regrouped to show once again why Okeechobee is one of the Sunshine states leading camping festivals within the music industry. Unfortunately after such a long break, there is that possibility that one may get rusty in terms of camping preparation. Lucky for you, we have a short and sweet simple top five list that is bound to save you quite the head ache upon arrival.

Warm clothes & thick blankets: You may be thinking , ” Why do I need that if it’s called the sunshine state? “, when we say to just trust us on this one just do it. Don’t worry about the sunshine , there will be PLENTY of that without a doubt as well. If you’re a OMF veteran like us from the very beginning , then you absolutely already know how cold it gets night. Don’t double think it, bring that worm attire and you can just thank us later unless of course you like it when your bones shiver at night.

Ear plugs: You know those funny memes of the random wooks that may stumble into your campsite trying to still party, or loud neighbors playing music who have no sense of time that just seem to be made of lithium. Well it’s all fun and games until you can’t sleep at night after all the shenanigans if Patrick from camp pee pee poo poo won’t stop making horse noises if you know what I’m saying. Unless you’ve trained your mind in the art of noise cancellation , bring those ear plugs so you can sleep like a baby once rested in your tent.

Water: This one might seem like an absolute no brainer but is it really or were you just more focused on how much beer you can fit in your vehicle before you friends start questioning your sanity. Bring tons of it, you will run out eventually and your body will thank you for it. The last thing you need after a long hike back to your campsite  is to take a break and to realize no one brought enough water and now you’re all out. Also please balance out your alcohol intake with plenty of water, we don’t want no one getting hurt especially when the Florida sunshine rays are built different.

Flag: If you’ve been a victim of participating in the brutal maze game of just going around in circles and not finding your campsite when returning back at night , well good news because you’re not alone. All you want to do is to finally go back and get rest before doing it all over again the next day , a simple task some would say but have you tried doing so while under the influence? Make it easy for yourself and put up a flag at your campsite, heck even add lights to it if it makes it easier. Anything to improve the quality of your camping experience is well worth it and for easy spotting of course.

Good Vibes: No one likes a party pooper, especially not a Okeechobee music festival camping party pooper. Whatever problems , drama , inconveniences , or issues you may deal with in the outside world , that’s probably the best place to leave it , outside. Here at the beautiful camp grounds of OMF , we are here to unite as one and to celebrate life through the various forms of frequencies we will be hearing while in attendance. If you’re friend seems down, bring them up. Let’s spready the positivity and keep the good vibes flowing all weekend long !

Take a Walk on the Dark Side w/ Redrum via “Idiosyncrasy”

Take a Walk on the Dark Side w/ Redrum via “Idiosyncrasy”

Wakaan’s very own Redrum has blessed our ears with a new track that takes a bit of a darker tune than some of the other tracks produced by this heavy hitter. Hoping to step out of her usual comfort zone, “Idiosyncrasy” provides a heavier sound, perfectly meshing the right amount of suspense with devastatingly deep drops and beautiful beats. The premiere we bring you today is only the first single off her highly anticipated second EP and definitely makes us excited to see what else is in store! Let’s take a deeper dive as to why we like to consider this what we like to call, a certified bop.

“Idiosyncrasy is the first single off my second EP, Chaos Theory. I wanted to experiment with heavier, darker sounds and step outside of my comfort zone with writing in a different style, and I’m really excited for everyone to hear a new sound from me” – REDRUM

DIVING DEEP W/ REDRUM

1. What would you tell your younger self today knowing where you’re at now and what it took to get there?

I have so much I want to say to my younger self but I think the biggest thing would just be to keep going, it gets better. I spent a lot of my life before I found music not wanting to be here and I wish I could go back and tell that girl how much better things get.

2. If there was an artist you had the chance to collaborate with, who would it be and why?

I have so many artists I want to collaborate with! I would love to work with Apashe or Clozee though, I’m curious what our styles would sound like combined!

BroMosapien Brings the Heat w/ new track “Playtime”

BroMosapien Brings the Heat w/ new track “Playtime”

If you have been looking for an absolute heatier of a halftime track, boy do we have the one for you! Heavy hitter North Carolina native, Andy Underwood, better known as BroMosapien, has come out swinging with his new release “Playtime” that we are featuring today. Combining crazy neuro bass sounds, absolutely bonkers drum beats and a fresh futuristic style, this tune will have you on your feet and losing your mind with every single drop. We promise you’ll have this one on repeat for the foreseeable future. Come explore why we are dubbing this particular track, a certified bop.

“This track is a halftime zinger that showcases my signature sound with some added flare. Drums & percussion have ALWAYS been a focal point for me, so this tune 100% delivers on that end. Adding in some gnarly neuro basses & some psy squelches was a must as well! This tune is a driving force on the dance floor & you can expect many more DONKERS like this from myself for the rest of 2022… Incredibly stoked to be releasing this with my hometown friends over at Tuff Sounds & stoked to see where the future takes them as well! “

DIVING DEEP W/ BROMOSAPIEN

What would you tell your younger self today knowing where you’re at now and what it took to get there?

I would tell my younger self ANY & EVERY bit of production knowledge I have now. I had some of the craziest musical ideas growing up, but I just didn’t know how to 100% execute them. I would also tell myself to not worry about what others are doing as much & focus on my own path. Everyone has a different path in life & you can’t compare your own personal journey to someone else’s. Life works in mysterious ways, but if you trust the process, you’ll end up RIGHT where you want to be!

If there was an artist you had the chance to collaborate with, who would it be and why?

Oof that is a tough one. So many artists I want to work with. To name a few I’d say Kursa, Tipper(YEAH RIGHT), Jantsen, Noisia, Death Grips, & Tame Impala. Honestly that list could go on FOREVER & EVER. All of the best collaborations generally come from the connections I’ve made in the industry though. Nothing quite beats vibing with people in & out of the studio and making art together. I’m always open to collaborate with styles outside of my comfort zone to help push the envelope of my sound!
