Wolf’d Brings the Madness w/ “Spooky Ghost” via The WiddFam

In the freeform bass scene, artists all over the world set out to showcase their unique styles and musical talent each and every day. Here at Headbang Society, we are on the constant search to find these sounds, and boy do we have a treat for you today. Chicago based producer, Oliver Wolf, better known to many as Wolf’d has brought Halloween to us early with his latest banger, “Spooky Ghost”. Wolf’d comes out swinging with this track, packing a punch from beginning to end with its high energy bouncy bass sounds and rattling percussion. This track delivers on the spooky soundscape with explosive sound that will melt your brain and bless your ears. Let’s take a deeper dive into why we are calling “Spooky Ghost”, a certified bop.

1. What’s one artist you’re grateful for that has inspired you to be where you are today and why?

One artist? This is a loaded question haha, there are so many musicians and artists out there who have inspired me and this is tricky to answer. That said, Ternion Sound come to mind. In addition to the fresh excitement they’ve injected into the 140/UK Dubstep scene (go check them out if you don’t know), they were also the first major artist to play out any of my music live, while I was in attendance. Eternally grateful to those lads.

2. What would you tell your younger self today knowing where you’re at now and what it took to get there?

So I started listening to electronic music back in 2006, when I was introduced to Pendulum’s Hold Your Colour album. Back then, the head of music at my high school dissuaded me from trying to make electronic music myself, as he saw it as a lesser art form. If I could go back, I would tell my younger self to trust his instincts more, and make the music that makes you happy! If only I’d started 15 years ago…
