Creating absolute bone crushing drops and heavy sound is something that does not come easily to all producers in the freeform bass scene today. This however is not the case for Mike Sarron, better known to many as hard hitter SpaceYeti. Bringing forth his latest EP, Biotech, this artist has caught the attention of the masses with his unique and downright dirty sound. “Mechanical”, which we have the pleasure of premiering off this 5 track compilation, is nothing short of a high energy mainstage festival track. With it’s bumping basslines and earth shattering drops, this track will have you headbanging as hard as you can from start to finish. Let’s take a deeper dive into why we are calling “Mechanical” and the rest of the Biotech EP, a certified bop.

“The Biotech EP has been in the works for over a year now and really shows the direction my brand and music is moving towards. The EP consists of 5 tracks that each tell different stories while still staying true to that classic heavy sound I love making. This EP is just the first part in a big story I want to tell.”

DIVING DEEP W/ SPACEYETI

1. If there was one thing you could change in the bass scene, what would it be and why?

“I think I’d like more people to realize and appreciate how diverse bass music can be, and not limit themselves.”

 2. If you could go back in time and start over given what you have learned in your career so far, what changes and approach would you have done differently?

“If I could start over I definitely would have spent less time stressing about the technical side of producing and spent more time pushing myself creatively, trying to be more innovative. Too often I found myself stuck focusing on mixing/mastering over creating tracks with more soul and interesting ideas or concepts.”
