Seeing some of our favorite bass artists combine their producing skills with other instrumentalists is always a treat, and boy do we have one for you today folks! Producer Marvel Years has combined his unique sound with a multi instrumental approach to bring forth his latest Pink Floyd tribute EP, Have A Cigar. With a bluesy soundscape, this EP not only features a band of extremely talented instrumentalists, but also Marvel Years own “bass fueled rendition ” that brings a vibrant, upbeat electronic take on the original track. This entire EP is not something you should be sleeping on, and be on the lookout for the special guest mix Marvel Years will be unveiling right here with us at Headbang Society.   1. What has been one of the most memorable career achievements so far as an artist, and how does that impact you moving forward?

 

Playing shows around the world like Australia and Croatia are some of the most memorable experiences of my career. Traveling has always been important to me, and I realized how incredible it was that my music was reaching people halfway around the world. Getting to experience the different cultures and music tastes on my visits opened my mind to the possibilities I could bring to the table as a musician.

 

  1. Who/what are the biggest inspirations in the music you create today?

 

Recently I’ve been gravitating towards artists who are blending the old with the new. The old school soul with the electronic sounds of our time. Artists like FKJ, Two Feet, Labyrinth, Ratatat, etc. have been some of the most impactful artists as of late in regards to the new music I’m creating.
