One of the scene’s most prominent female figures within electronic music is here to take us away on a journey thanks to her new hot single, “Heartbreak”. This track is the beginning of a new era for the Lizzy Jane project and the direction of what lies ahead for 2024 in terms of live performances and production especially. We were already blown away by her past achievements and releases but this new direction really sheds light on the talent potential that Lizzy Jane still has yet to even showcase to her audience. Let’s take a deeper dive into why this song is what we like to call, a certified bop.

Lizzy Jane on ‘Heartbreak’

“‘Heartbreak’ marks a new chapter for my project. It’s Emotional, Unique, & busting with Melody. ‘Heartbreak’ is a record encompassing the act of letting go in exchange for the beginning of something new. Incorporating live vocals & instruments on top of powerful synth production, ‘Heartbreak’ is a bold step forward that I’ve been working towards for a very long time.”

Diving Deep w/ Lizzy Jane

1. You can only invite 3 people of any time period to join you for dinner, who would you pick and why.

LP Giobbi – She is one of the best out there right now, in my opinion. She is so innovative, continuously incorporating instruments and his past classical training into the world of dance music. Creator of femme house, which is a collective that continuously gives back to the community and teaches others how to produce & pro-actively be a part of the music industry.

Danny Elfman (Composer / singer-songwriter/ voice actor / performer) known for The Nightmare Before Christmas & more – One of the best to ever do it. Long term aspirations of scoring and pulling from my background in foley sound, I would love to pick his brain as I have started scoring works of my own in the past year. His innovative & classic scores over time have made some of the most memorable movies and pieces of art to date. He now tours with a band to play massive events of his own music. He’s the dream.

Michael Lang (Co founder/ creator of woodstock) – He knows music, he knows business, and he knows how to hone in and create community. Without community and fans, we are nothing.
2With the wisdom you’ve gathered, what nugget of advice would you pass down to a younger Lizzy Jane, say 6-8 years ago?

Everything is temporary. Momentum & Consistency are the only two things that will give you the long term results you desire. Do not compromise your vision for anyone… don’t let someone who doesn’t create art tell you what to do with yours. Collaborative. Feel uncomfortable in your endeavors. Be mindful of those you surround yourself with… keep your circle small.

3. Can you pinpoint the moment Lizzy Jane turned the corner (Started seeing success etc)? Take us to that tipping point.

I truly feel as if the best is yet to come.. (early 2024 😉 BUT this year was it for me. I consistently used the power of NO. I was confident in the shows we played as each event was truly an opportunity to grow and build with others. Playing The Armory, Red Rocks, Navy Pier, festivals in states I have previously never played in all in one year was such a win for myself, my inner critic and the team I have around me. This coming year I will be going on my first headline tour, not just one-offs, which is something I have wanted to do for so long. Small capacity rooms in music venues and clubs that will be a curated night start to finish. Intimate stage designs and production, everything is curated around the music you’re getting this month starting with ‘Heartbreak’ all the way to next Summer. The best is yet to come.
