Combining a bouncy, uptempo beat with heavy, low bass sounds, this track packs a punch with the wubs that we all know and love alongside catchy hip hop lyrics that are sure to have us all dancing along. This artist has absolutely captivated listeners and this tune he’s adding to his repertoire fits perfectly with the number of other heaters on his discography. Definitely don’t sleep on this one because we are sure to hear it played out time and time again. Let’s take a deeper dive into why we are calling the absolute stomper of a track “Check”, a certified bop.

“Check” is a song for anyone who is grinding from the basement and trying to make it to the top floor. If you want to be on the same level as other players in the game, you need to get your money up.”

DIVING DEEP W/ HEXED

What’s one cool fact about yourself/or your project that not many fans know about?

My current project HEXED is actually my second project. I rebranded after only a few releases on my first brand, which was my last name. I realized I was making music that did not represent who I am and I decided to distance personal life from my music. This helped me create a space to do whatever I want without any judgement from my peers.

If you could go back in time and start over given what you have learned in your career so far, what changes and approach would have done differently?

I would go back and solidify all of my branding elements before I started releasing any music. I had a general idea of what I wanted to do, but as I progressed, I realized many components were not as thought out as I intended. Things like color palette, brand values and symbols are all examples of things I had to reconsider as I went to create consistency.
