For those of you looking for a fully immersive festival experience, look no further than Chicago’s own North Coast Music Festival taking place September 2-4. With a holistically curated lineup with something for everyone, catch artists such as Madeon, Eptic, Space Wizard and more as you interact with all your senses throughout the festival grounds. Priding themselves on creating a unique experience, their variety of interactive spaces feature things such as a light and fog tunnel, live painting, and laser domes. If camping is your jam, North Coast also offers a tent camping option to maximize the users experience within the festival grounds. Today, we have the privilege of bringing you an absolute heater of a mix from two of the artists performing at North Coast this year, Dirt Monkey and Subdocta. Both extremely talented producers are joining forces both at North Coast and for today’s mix to bring forth some absolute bangers that you cannot miss whether it be in person or through your speakers. The mix we have for you today is packed with high energy bangers that we love from both of these artists as well as some new and exciting tracks that are yet to be released. Let’s take a deeper dive into what we can expect from these two heavy hitters come Labor Day Weekend at North Coast Music Festival.
“I tried to cram as much of my new music in as I could, so think of this as a nice little preview of what’s in store for North Coast”
– Dirt Monkey
“This mix contains a taste of what you’ll hear during our b2b set at North Coast. We’re both very excited for this one”
– SubDocta
DIVING DEEP W/ DIRTMONKEY X SUBDOCTA
- What are you most excited about playing at North Coast Music Festival?
Some tasty new tunes of course! – SubDocta
- What goes into preparing for bigger sets at these types of events?
Honestly, Dirt Monkey and I have been doing big b2b sets for years. We’re close friends and have similar tastes and mixing styles so honestly, we just have a 5-minute pow-wow before the set about the first 2 songs and then just call out BPM and key changes on the fly. – SubDocta
- What can attendees expect from your set at North Coast Music Festival?
They can expect all the tempos, vibes & genres, all tied together by the wonk. I got freshies to debut too – Dirt Monkey
