Diving Deep w/ Maddy O’ Neal

  1. What has been your favorite memory thus as a reputable bass artist in the electronic music scene?

So many memories but I think what stands out in my mind are the shows that felt larger than life. It was a surreal moment to walk onto the Red Rocks stage for the first time, and again and again, each time feeling more confident in being there. It’s truly a magical venue and has been undefeated in terms of experiences.

  1. What are the inspirations that helped push you into wanting to pursue a career in music?

My brother was a big influence on me getting into music early on. He was in indie rock bands growing up and always showed me cool music that blew my mind. He was always experimenting and digging for new music. When I came to Colorado for school the electronic scene was really just escalating right before my eyes… Boulder was a hub of creatives and home to a lot of the artists I came to look up to like Pretty Lights, Griz, Big Gigantic, STS9, etc. I connected with a lot of my early friends in the scene there which pushed me to really go for it.
