Jalaya is back at it again ,and this time he has decided to bring along a few friends to assist with disruption of frequencies that is about to occur. We are happy to introduce the newest bass bumpin’ remix compilation for his song “Heart Tear”. Today, we get the pleasure of premiering our favorite off the EP, remixed by none other than SIGKILL. This tune is an absolute banger from start to finish, transforming Jalaya’s original track into its own unique auditory experience filled with twists and turns. Definitely make sure you are blasting this one at full volume to get a full feel as to why this stomper is what we like to call a certified bop.

What would you tell your younger self today knowing where you’re at now and what it took to get there?

Musically I don’t really have many regrets. I started out making the music that I wanted to listen to, and that hasn’t changed. Other people liking it is just a bonus. I will say that I wish I internalized music theory more from when I was learning piano, but I try to make up for it by just soaking myself in music every day. Also I would probably tell myself to wear earplugs before going to that Excision show that had like 250kW PK sound because I’m pretty sure that concert single-handedly dropped my hearing range… oh well

If there was an artist you had the chance to collaborate with, who would it be and why?

–

G Jones, EPROM, Moody Good, Nitepunk, Thelem, Protial, Noisia, Chee, Bleep Bloop, and pretty much anyone who has released on SATURATE Records if we’re talking bass music. Aphex Twin, LITLBIRD, and little snake never fail to impress me with their sound design. I listen to a lot of different types of music in my free time (honestly probably even more than I do bass music), and I think that definitely affects the music I put out: there are a bunch of genres I think I can learn a lot from musically. The most influential genres to my music right now are probably metal, grime, rave, gospel, and JRPG soundtracks.

Wakaan’s favorite space reptile, AstroLizard, is back to take us on another journey through the cosmos with their newest masterpiece, “Lizard Funk Symphony”. This track will get you up on your feet from start to finish with the new funky fresh feel unique to that of other songs produced by this intergalactic artist. Definitely take time to get blasted into a new dimension with this premiere, because trust me there’s no coming back to reality after you do. Q1: Who/what are the biggest inspirations in the music you create today?

Tipper is the biggest inspiration for this old lizard’s music creation.

Q2: What would you tell your younger self today knowing where you’re at now and what it took to get there?

I would tell my younger lizard self to be more humble and aware of issues because it takes humility and kindness to manifest support and community around your passions.

Love is in the air with Super Future’s newest EP, “Goddess”! This three track certified heater dedicated to his wife Ellie, gives us a personal glimpse of what it feels like to be in love through this skillfully crafted auditory experience. Our premiere track for today, “3XTACY” creates a feeling of exactly what the song title states, pure ecstasy in the form of bass music. This entire EP is an absolute emotional journey in its purest form and not one you should be sleeping on! Q1: Who/what are the biggest inspirations in the music you create today?

My biggest inspirations today are the artists that know how to take listeners on a full adventure through bass and downtempo and everything in between. Those are the people that truly give me the range I want to hear to be fully emotionally engaged in music. Bonus points if they are actively doing more than touring to make the scene thrive on an inclusive and uplifting level. Of course at a minimum they better be wildly original and pushing boundaries of sound! That list of people includes artists like LSDREAM, CloZee, Liquid Stranger, G Jones, Minnesota, Troyboi, Tidye Ky, OTT, Wreckno. If you are curious about up and comers who I’m obsessed with at all… I’d say Mindset, Notlo, Molokai, Tripp St, Smoakland… man I’m probably forgetting tons but if I f*ck with you I’ve already let you know haha.

Q2: What would you tell your younger self today knowing where you’re at now and what it took to get there? 

–

Things I’d tell my younger self today is honestly exactly what I teach students in Producer Dojo… all the mistakes I’ve made that are turned around into tactful positives. The main thing I’d really want myself to know is not to be afraid to express the soulful and emotional music that was buried deep down because I didn’t think it would land with the masses. Hype and bassy music does pack rooms, but the most real love I’ve ever received from a fan or friend has consistently been because of my downtempo and emotional music. The stuff I’ve released with Sskwan and otherwise is saving people’s lives. That is a direct quote from various listeners. Nothing can matter more than helping other people through art and whatever talents you possess. Younger me and younger artists… don’t be afraid to share your REAL emotional side. People are ready and waiting
