Seth David Is On The Rise w/ New Single “OH!”

Seth David Is On The Rise w/ New Single “OH!”

We love it when fresh new faces come from the depths of the underground into the spotlight. The brightness Seth David has been radiating these past few months is currently unmatched. Having banger after banger catching the masses’ attention to crushing it on tour with Sippy and Smoakland, the future for this upcoming bass act could not be brighter. He is now here to further solidify his spot amongst the bass giants as one to keep a close eye on. Today we have the honor of premiering his newest single OH!, a powerful vocal-infused high-energy dubstep banger that is going to leave people in awe. Now it’s time to take a deeper dive as to what makes this track what we like to call, a certified bop.

“OH” brings me back to the “glory days” of dubstep in the early 2010’s…I used to love how emotional dubstep songs felt while at the same time being heavy and aggressive. I’m hoping this track can stand the test of time and give listeners that little hit of nostalgia even though it’s brand new.

DIVING DEEP W/ SETH DAVID

You’re on your deathbed and you can listen to one last song, which one would it be and why?
The Glory by Kanye West…it’s sounds like it would play in the credits of a really good movie, good one to die to.
If you could change one thing about the electronic scene, what would it be and why?
More diversity in the lineups!!! More POC, women, and ppl of different backgrounds headlining & getting opportunities.
If you had one message you could share with the world right now, what would it be?
Be kind and try to understand each other, we’re really not all that different.

VED x NGHT VZN Go Off The Rails w/ New Collab “Menace”

The underground scene of bass music is currently at a new high right now with the amount of talented producers currently on the rise. Two artists we can thank for this go by the name of VED and NGHT VZN. Today they have teamed forces to provide us with the recipe for success due to their newly announced collab titled “Menace”. A high-energy bass-filled club banger that is bound to bring all heads to the dancefloor upon hearing its drop. If there is something we love deeply, it has to be switch-ups amongst the song and this tune has all the right ones to make it a heater. Now it’s time to take a deeper dive as to what makes this track what we like to call, a certified bop.

“Menace is track #2 off of the Convergence EP. It is our third collaboration together and felt right for it to be part of the EP. The track is a blend of memphis rap, half time, DNB, and dubstep.” -VED

DIVING DEEP W/ VED & NGHT VZN

You’re on your deathbed and you can listen to one last song, which one would it be and why?
VED: That song would have to be Dabin-Lilith (ft. Apashe & Madi). This track is one of my favorite tracks of all time. It is in my opinion a perfect blend of emotion and heaviness. An overall beautiful piece of music.
NGHT VZN: The last song I would like to hear before leaving this life would be “i, promise” by ford. It reminds me of a transitional time in my life. It’s so beautiful it still gives me chills everytime I hear it.
If you could change one thing about the electronic scene, what would it be and why?
VED: The one thing I would change about the music scene is for the need of artists to be glued to their phone and posting constantly on social media to stay relevant. I feel it takes away from the artist aspect.
NGHT VZN: I would change the gatekeeping aspect of the well-known producers/Dj’s. The ones who say they want to see you succeed, but don’t want to see you doing better than them. It’s about the art of expression through sound. There’s enough room at the table for all of us to eat.
If you had one message you could share with the world right now, what would it be?
VED: If you can, go outside and Immerse yourself in nature. Connect with the roots, branches, rivers, and keep spreading love because the world can always use more.
NGHT VZN: To be more open minded and supportive of one another. Kindness can go a long way. You never know how much a small gesture could mean to someone.
Phyphr Takes Us Away w/ New 3-Track EP “Valley Of Death”

Phyphr Takes Us Away w/ New 3-Track EP “Valley Of Death”

One of Denver’s most sensational electronic funk producers & instrumentalists has just released a gift into the world that is bound to inspire pure bliss and happiness. Feel-good music is here to stay for all of 2024 and “Valley Of Death”, a 3-track ep by Phyphr, is here to showcase why that is. Yes, we all love dubstep bangers but there is just something so beautiful about combining instrumental basslines with groovy synths and vocals that just makes you want to shake it all around all night long. This is music for the soul. The flow of its vibrations through all ears just gives us a sense that life is meant to be enjoyed to its fullest. Now it’s time to take a deeper diver as to what makes today’s premiere what we like to call, a certified bop.

“Valley of Death is about the concepts of darkness, light, and rebirth. These songs are meant to guide us into the unknown and to be songs of safety as we embark on new journeys in our lives. It coincides with the rebirth of Phyphr as we move into the new year with a new look and sound.”

You’re on your deathbed and you can listen to one last song, which one would it be and why?
  • In my final moments, I’d want to hear ‘Stop This Train’ by John Mayer, recorded live at Nokia Theater. This recording has always meant a lot to me. Every time I hear it, my mind floods with beautiful memories and emotions that could never fade away. I think about my parents, my fiance, my pup, my closest friends, and all the places I’ve traveled to. It’s about getting older and coming to terms with mortality. You may have wished there was a way to know you’re in the ‘good old days’ before you’ve actually left them. This song is about appreciating those fleeting moments in life.
  • “Once in a while,
  • When it’s good,
  • It’ll feel like it should,
  • And they’re all still around,
  • And you’re still safe and sound,
  • And you don’t miss a thing…”
If you could change one thing about the electronic scene, what would it be and why?
  • I would change how normalized drug use has become. Everything in moderation… When I’m on stage, I can see everything. It’s out in the open. I dislike the effect that drug use has on the dance floor and how dangerous it has become. I see so many attendees rolling the dice without testing for impurities. It’s common for attendees to fall out during shows in crowded rooms making it difficult for them to get medical attention. It’s a touchy subject, but we should talk about it more openly as a community. I want everyone to enjoy the music we love safely.
If you had one message you could share with the world right now, what would it be?
  • Whatever your passion or dream may be, take a chance and go after it. Don’t wait any longer to get in touch with the most authentic version of yourself! Inspiration is all around you, all you have to do is let it in. You can do anything if you work hard and believe in yourself.
  • I was majorly inspired at Hulaween 2017 by Manic Focus Live Band. I remember standing there after the set thinking, “I want to make music and perform. I can do this”. I downloaded Ableton on my hotspot during the drive home from Suwannee, and fully dove into the learning process. I worked at it every single day until it became an obsession. I learned as much as I could as fast as I could. Fast forward to Hulaween 2022, I got to perform on that very same stage as a member of Manic Focus Live Band. Rocking with John and Colby was a dream come true and a testament that anything is possible if you work hard and believe in yourself!

SEEK Goes Mental w/ New “METHOD EP” via Street Ritual

SEEK Goes Mental w/ New “METHOD EP” via Street Ritual

Street Ritual is here to bring light to the frequencies that make you want to get down and dirty the proper way. A perfect summary for the gift they have given us today thanks to the artist who goes by the name of SEEK. “METHOD EP” is a 4 track auditory landscape that encompasses all the signature original dubstep sounds that make us crave for more. Today we get the honor of premiering “Offense”, a single off the four-track ep that will leave you returning for more time and time again. Now it’s time to take a deeper dive as to what makes this track what we like to call, a certified bop.

“The Method EP is a culmination of my journey through sound and my exploration of dubstep. The first single, Offense, reaches for a wonky psy palette, while the rest of the EP applies elements of riddim and hip hop to the deeper side of dubstep. Im really happy how it all came together and couldn’t be more stoked for it to have found a home at Street Ritual.” -SEEK

DIVING DEEP W/ SEEK

You’re on your deathbed and you can listen to one last song, which one would it be?
First thought is Andre Nickatina – Smoke Dope And Rap, so I could rap my way through hell’s kitchen
If you could change one thing about the electronic scene, what would it be and why?
I would say to drop your ego and stay humble. We are all just here to have fun. Yeah abit of friendly competition can be good, but at the end of the day we are just doing our part to make a little more sense of this f’d up world. Lift up your friends and those around you. And if you don’t have something positive to say, just keep it to yourself. We are all part of this community cuz it’s friendly and inviting, let’s keep it that way :]
With the wisdom you’ve gathered, what nugget of advice would you pass down to a younger SEEK, say 6-8 years ago?
Work hard, ask for help, and don’t be shy to share your music. Comparing yourself to someone who has been grinding everyday is pointless. Just do what you can do better your mindset and production little by little everyday and watch those W’s stack up. Also backup your harddrive.
