I wanted to make a happy song about love. I think the world needs more of it. It doesn’t even necessarily have to do with falling in love with another person, just falling in love with something that makes you feel like you’ve escaped the monotony of day-to-day life; escaping the matrix that you were in, even if it makes you uncomfortable.” -ALLEYCVT

DIVING DEEP W/ ALLEYCVT

Transitioning from grinding for years to landing game-changing opportunities must feel surreal. What’s the biggest shift you’ve felt in the ALLEYCVT project?

Thank you so much for having me guys!

Yes it is very surreal. I don’t think I’ve even had time to completely take the whole thing in yet to be honest. It’s just been go, go, go. I wouldn’t have it any other way! I think my biggest shift has been my plan for going into this next year. I’ve been thinking a lot about things I need to improve on, and tweaks to the aesthetics & sound of the project. I have a whole note filled with specific things I want to work on while preparing for next year. To sum it up, the biggest shift I’ve felt has just been everything becoming a lot more real to me, especially now that the Planet Supersonic tour is more than halfway over.

Fast forward 2-3 years, what’s the dream scenario for ALLEYCVT?

Ahhh. I mean, hopefully if everything goes to plan, I would love to tour Europe, maybe have my own Red Rocks show, and headlining festivals. I don’t know if that’s shooting too high though, is 2-3 years enough time for that to happen? I have no idea. Regardless, I’m still shooting for it! All I hope for truly though, is that I’m able to continue to improve my craft and make my fans happy.

Can you pinpoint the moment ALLEYCVT turned the corner? Take us to that tipping point.

I think it was probably when I released “RELIGION”. That was my first song that’s ever gotten a million streams. Right now it has over 2 million on Spotify, which is insane to me.. but yeah, I think that was the moment where I realized I might actually be able to be an artist full time.

With the wisdom you’ve gathered, what nugget of advice would you pass down to a younger ALLEYCVT, say 6-8 years ago?

Omg. So, so, SO much. I wish I could tell her that everything is gonna be okay. I do actually believe in different dimensions and stuff where there’s a different timeline of you somewhere else in the universe. I would just tell her to keep doing what she’s doing because everything actually works out. I wouldn’t get too much into specifics for her but I would just be like “you got this stop freaking out”.
