Today, she continues to live up to all of the hype surrounding her project with her latest release Plexured Minds, a 5 track compilation that captures and tantalizes listeners from the very first measure. Our premiere today off this incredible body of work, “Web Works”, is nothing short of an absolute stomper. Its heavy-hitting bass line, intricate melodies, and catchy uptempo tune will have every listener with a permanent bass face. There is no doubt that Sharlitz Web is spinning her own web throughout the EDM scene, capturing everyone in her path with her sound. Let’s take a deeper dive into why we are calling “Web Works” and the rest of the Plexured Minds EP, a certified bop.

Plexured Minds is the dark playground of my own mind. I had to bring some of the unwanted parts to the surface and integrate it into myself whilst trying to find balance between the dark and light. This EP has helped me weave new parts into my life while doing my own shadow work.”

1. How did you decide to get into making music? Was there a particular event in your childhood/life that made you stop and realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music?

I always had an obsession with music as I grew up. Both my parents took me to a lot of live events as a child. We had backstage access sometimes and I was very blessed to experience some of the things I did with them. I would stand in front of the sub woofers and wouldn’t want to move. I loved the way it would feel going through my body and the way it made me feel from the inside out. I remember as a child watching everyone dance and let go, fully immersing themselves into the music was something I was learning while being so young at these events. I would dance with my parents until I would fall asleep in their arms. That was the beginning of my love for music. Something about that bass and the power behind the music to let you let go 😉

2. Being an artist in the spotlight, you have a continuously growing impact on your fanbase and the scene. Due to the nature of this, have you had any fan interactions that have particularly hit home for you as an artist, and why?

Absolutely. Some of them have brought me to tears of happiness.  I’ve gotten messages from fans about how much my music means to them and some have felt safe enough to tell me that my music has hit them deep enough to start unlocking parts of themselves and has helped them with their own depression. Also, because I lost my sister, some of my fans have come forward and shared their stories of losses and in a way we’ve bonded over it. It’s really special and makes me feel like this mission I’m on is truly helping people heal which is a huge part of my project.

3.  As an artist, you can experience a number of roadblocks along the way to achieving your goals. What motivates you to continue to be creative and make music even when times get tough?

I’ve gotten a lot better at being easier on myself. In those moments of roadblocks I’ll just do a little revaluation of what’s going on with me at that time. Self care and doing things that are healthy is huge motivation for me as well as getting into nature and taking a step back from whatever it is that has my nervous system overworked. The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to take care of yourself. Working out a few times a week and getting out of the house really has benefited me since I moved to Denver. My fans and my team are also a huge motivation to me when things get tough. Just taking a second to think about how much we’ve accomplished and how much more we are going to accomplish just sets a fire inside of me.

4.  What’s next for your project? What plans do you have in the near future that you hope to accomplish as “Sharlitz Web“?

I’m sitting on a lot of music that I am very excited to share throughout this year. More consistent releases and I’ve been doing a lot more manifestation work for some bucket list festivals and label releases. This month I get to play Lightning In A Bottle and Sunset Music Festival, which are both bucket list festivals for me. Collabs will most definitely be more of a focus this year as well.  Moving to Denver has opened up a new chapter in my life. Just continuing to hone in on my sound and my social media presence while balancing other aspects of my life is on the agenda. 2022 was really tough for me as I struggled both mentally and financially so just getting back into my roots,  getting into a good flow, and continuing to heal myself is most important right now.

What to Pack When Packing for EDCLV 2023

What to Pack When Packing for EDCLV 2023

Those who have heard of the marvel that is Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas know that this festival is an absolute gem on the summer festival circuit. Taking place in sunny Las Vegas Motor Speedway from May 19th-21st, festival-goers (or “headliners”) get to experience a once-in-a-lifetime experience under the electric sky unlike any other. Whether Headliners choose to camp the whole weekend, visit for a day, or live it up in the shift pods and RV camping of Camp EDC, there is no doubt that there is something special in store for each attendee as soon as they step through the gates.

This year, much like every year, the EDCLV lineup spans multiple genres of EDM such as house, techno, dubstep, and all kinds of bass music, so there is definitely something for everyone’s ears. With artists like Dom Dolla, Excision, David Guetta, and more planning to destroy the 9 stages through the festival grounds, there is so much to see and do throughout the weekend from sunrise to sunset and late into the night. Before headliners can live it up in the euphoric atmosphere that is the world of EDCLV 2023, we have a list of must-bring items to throw in travel bags, suitcases, and RVs to make sure this year is an absolute success!

What to Pack When Packing for EDCLV 2023

1. Sunscreen

Las Vegas is hot, bottom line. Even though EDCLV takes place in the evenings to avoid as much heat as possible, there are still tons of activities that take place throughout the day that will have headliners up and in the sun. The Motor Speedway has little to no shade throughout the day and the Nevada sun is relentless during the summer. With this being said, sunscreen is an absolute must for those attending EDCLV this year. The last thing anyone wants to deal with is getting sunburnt on Day 1!

2. Earplugs

Whether headliners are at the stage listening to their favorite artists or back at camp trying to catch up on rest, earplugs are a must. Not only are they great for canceling out those late-night neighbors who want to stay up a little later, but they also protect against the extremely high decibel sound that comes out of festival speakers. Whether it’s high-fidelity ear plugs or even just the over-the-counter foam plugs, there is no going wrong with being responsible and making sure to protect your hearing.

3. Bathing Suits

One of the exclusive features at Camp EDC is its after-parties, pre-parties, AND pool parties. With new artists every day, the Camp EDC pool is the place to be to catch Hamdi, Dombresky, Noizu b2b Westend, and more, so don’t forget to pack some swimwear to join in on the festivities. Remember the pool parties go on all weekend, so bring more than one swim suit!

4. Flags and totems

The last thing anyone wants to be is lost in the festival grounds trying to find their campsite or their rave fam. With 9 different stages and a sea of RVs, tents and shift pods throughout the campgrounds, getting lost can happen very easily. This can be prevented by putting up a flag and personalized decorations at camp and keeping all the homies together at the stages with a unique totem! Tall landmarks are always the best to remember where something or someone is so make sure to get creative and mark out your spots throughout the weekend.

5. Bandanas/Face Coverings

The Motor Speedway where EDCLV takes place is smack in the middle of the desert, which means there is going to be a lot of dust throughout the weekend. With the strong winds that drum up in the evening, headliners will definitely want something to cover their face and mouth from the fair share of dust and dirt that gets kicked up. Pro-tip – the easiest way to avoid the infamous black boogers everyone talks about at festivals is to keep a few extra bandanas or face coverings!

6. Plenty of Coolers

Throughout the Mesa and Camp EDC, there are plenty of general stores, drink stations, and vendors to get refreshments throughout the course of the weekend. This means headliners are encouraged to bring plenty of coolers to keep all of their snacks, drinks,  medicine, and other items cool and from spoiling during their time at EDC! With the copious amount of coolers that will be on-site, the Camp EDC general stores will be fully stocked with ice for purchase!

7. TWO tent locks

For the headliners planning on spending EDCLV in shift pods, there are not one but two doors! In order to protect any belongings, make sure to bring a lock for each door to ensure everything stays secure while under the electric sky!

8. Flip-Flops

Whether headliners are staying in the shift pods, RV camping, or anywhere else at Camp EDC, there are numerous shower facilities throughout the campgrounds for use. Since there will be a lot of people coming to and from the showers, make sure to pack an inexpensive pair of flip flops or other water shoes such as crocs to wear while in the shower.

9. Electrolyte Drinks

This is another very important item headliners need to have during their time at EDCLV! In order to make sure everyone is staying hydrated and having the best time under the electric sky, drinks such as Gatorade, Liquid IV, or Pedialtye are really important to have. With the intense Vegas sun beaming down, the loss of electrolytes and water from the body is inevitable, which means headliners need to be proactive and make sure they are hydrating all weekend with both water and drinks containing electrolytes!

10. Toliet Paper

With the number of headliners in attendance at EDCLV each year means there might be times when there is no toilet paper in the bathrooms. Make sure to bring some extra just in case to ensure there are no worries whether going number one or number two.

11. Deodorant

This one is pretty self-explanatory. With the amount of heat and sweat in the Las Vegas sun, deodorant is extremely important to have. Fellow headliners will thank you for making sure it is applied daily.

12. Good Vibes

EDCLV is a place of wonder, euphoria and happiness so make sure to bring the best vibes possible. Everyone is one big family under the electric sky, so make sure to watch out for each other and those around, respect festival staff and other headliners, and enjoy every second of EDCLV 2023!

While this packing list is for both first-time headliners and festival veterans alike, each of these items on the list is extremely important to making EDCLV a successful weekend. Camp EDC and The Mesa will be a hub filled with tons of hustle and bustle throughout the course of the weekend, providing yet another layer of excitement for attendees. Between the exclusive Camp EDC stages and pool parties, make time to experience events such as field games, karaoke, roller discos, and more. This is definitely an around-the-clock party for every headliner to enjoy!

With EDCLV 2023 rapidly approaching in 3 weeks, make sure to check that you have all of these recommended items and make sure to most importantly bring the best vibes for the most memorable weekend! WE can’t wait to see you under the electric sky, Headliners!
